Cake Orange Zest Sports Bra

Cake Orange Zest sports braI'm onto my third baby so I've done my time in maternity bras. Most of my collection is sad and saggy beyond belief as I'd convinced myself that there wasn't any point in buying new bras for baby number three. So when Tracey, the clever designer from Cake Lingere offered me the chance to review their new sports bra, I leapt at the opportunity!

I'm a reasonably endowed kind of gal and so let's just say that I need plenty of support when I am running. Until this bra arrived, I'd been wearing two bras when running to keep things where they should be. However, these bras have a supportive construction and are designed to minimise bounce! The cups are moulded and the bra has a flexible underwire to add extra support.

When the bra arrived, I wasn't sure how the grey panel across the front would look and feel but it sits beautifully and, unlike most of my bras, actually gives some shape. As it's a maternity bra, it has drop down cups so perfect for a hasty feed before or after your run.

The bra also has matching boyshorts that complete the look. They're also perfectly designed for comfort and support and may well have just become my favourite undies!

If I were to quibble, I would say that perhaps the strap was a little bit too long for my shoulders - the cup felt a bit loose at the top as I couldn't adjust the straps to be as tight as I might have liked. It's barely noticeable, though and doesn't seem to affect the bra's performance. The bra does start at a 10D cup - so you do have to have, er, a reasonable endowment to suit them.

Overall, I thoroughly recommend this bra. It's sturdy but not imposing and certainly does the job if you want to get active while pregnant or breast feeding.

BRA - RRP NZ$89.90
BOYSHORT - NZ$35.90
