Pipe cleaner crafting
Getting craftyVanessa Rehm

I have been making a concerted effort t0 get more crafty with my children lately – in a “let’s get out the paper, scissors and pens” kind of a way, not pulling the wool over their eyes! And so whilst at the $2 shop today I picked up a packet of colourful pipe cleaners because I knew in the back of my mind there were a bunch of fun things we could do with them. After finding the following ideas online, I realise I’m going to need to return to the store for another 10 packets!
Just look at these amazing images of the many varied and interesting ways you can use the humble pipe cleaner. There are ideas to encourage your little ones’ hand/eye coordination, decorating ideas for birthday parties or Christmas, Easter or Mothers Day, as well as great ideas for things to keep you busy on a rainy day using a few bits and bobs from around the house in tandem with the pipe cleaners.
I can’t decide which one to start with, but I know for sure I’m going to need to steal some of the kids pipe cleaners to solve my wardrobe malfunctions.
