Free Party Printables Set: The Rainbow Party

Somewhere, Over The Rainbow

14 February 2012

It's our party, and we'll bring you some freebies if we want to!

As part of our 3rd birthday celebrations we thought it would be nice if we gave back to our readers on the party front.

We decided to kick off with the Rainbow Party Set because of our colourful new rainbow inspired website makeover.  Not only did we create the printables set, but decided that we would be good and put it together nicely for you.

We used mini plastic bags (from Moore Wilson) and filled them with jelly beans and topped them with the treat bag topper from the set.  The chocolate cupcakes were purchased from good old Countdown, and we just 'jazzed' them up with our circle toppers (simply tape a toothpick to the back and insert!).

I really wanted to make these chocolate sprinkle spoons, but unfortunately forgot the plastic spoons in the shopping.  So I did melted chocolate topped with sprinkles and silver cachous balls (for extra bling) in some cute multi coloured spot candy cups I had in the cupboard.  They still looked fabulous!  Add one of the food table labels to the plate, and wala, done.

The look was completed with a gluten free version of the Rainbow Cake.  It worked really well, so we will be posting the recipe for that one later in the week!
