Handmade Heaven: Baby Mama Bags

Vintage chic bags from Estella Rose

There are times when you need to pack a special nappy bag and haul it around, but there are also times where you’d like to look carefree and fashionable, without a bulky bag.

Enter the gorgeous handmade baby mama handbags from Auckland label Estella Rose Designs, which are made from 100% designer cotton fabrics and with beautiful vintage-styled embellishments like pearlised buttons, fabric covered buttons, pleats, original crochet pieces, ruffles or metallic gilded fabrics. Perfect for when your baby is a bit older and you don’t need so much to carry, they still happily fit in a change of nappies or clothes and drink bottles. Or you could upsize to a baby mama deluxe bag, which comes with inside pockets for baby bottles, a co-ordinating baby change mat, and a strap perfectly sized to fit over the handle bars of your Mountain Buggy or Phil & Teds (always a bug bear of mine with other handbags!)

The best part: because they are 100% cotton you can throw them in the wash if they get dirty, and simply line dry. You can go super girly with a handbag or pleated bag style – or more high street with a messenger bag style. Treat yourself – they make a good present for you to buy for yourself from hubby or the kids for Christmas!

Available from Mum Made, Bay Bee Cino Newmarket, or Things for Baby. (Lisa from Estella Rose also has a line of lap top bags coming out in the New Year, watch this space.)
