Ollie’s Colour Party

I can see a rainbow...

Jodi Mitchell
7 November 2011

For her son Ollie’s birthday Bex from Becky Lipp went for the theme COLOURS.  Because he was turning two she wanted something colourful for him, even down to the cake (get the recipe here).

Bex found the idea for the huge lollipops on pinterest – her husband made the white poles and she popped a balloon with cellophane over it and tied with string (I am going to be stealing this idea for my next party!).

The idea for the balloon wall game also came from pinterest.  Again, her husband helped out by drilling holes in a cover sheet of MDF and they threaded through the balloons, filling some with numbers.  When the kids popped a balloon they won a bag of treats if they got a number.

The lanterns, glass bottles, straws, plates and striped cups are all from Dots n Spots.
