Handmade Heaven: Tinch Design Magnets

Alphabet Soup

Finding ABC art for your walls that looks stylish is always a dilemma. Let alone an alternative to the plastic fridge magnet ABC sets! And have you ever noticed that those little plastic magnets always come in upper case letters, not lower case – making life tricky for preschoolers learning to read and write?

Helen at Tinch Design Studio has solved all three problems in one swoop – or make that soup.

Her new ‘Alphabet Soup’ magnets are all lower case, and made from a striking range of colours and textile offcuts. No two sets are ever quite the same. As well as adorning your fridge or magnet board, you could use magnetic paint on your wall of your child’s room for hours of play.

So cool and such a statement for your home, you won’t know whether you are really buying them for yourself, or for your child.

In fact why not accessorise them with the bright yellow “quote/unquote” magnets, or the giant “punctuation” marks…
