Back in November, we featured the Wishbone Bike on our Facebook page. Now, we thought you’d like to know about the Endangered Species Limited Edition.

With all of the same features as the original Wishbone Bike, this limited edition version features an original design by Neal Whittington which is inspired by the endangered giant kauri snail.

The Wishbone Bike really is the ultimate pre-bike. From walking age, through to 5 years, the Wishbone bike evolves with your child’s development. Eco-friendly, it has 60% post-consumer recycled plastic wheels, is made from wood from sustainably managed forests and is bonded and finished with eco-friendly products. Even the box the bike comes in and the printed material that accompanies it is made from recycled products and printed with non-toxic inks.

To say we were impressed when we came across the Wishbone Bike at the 2008 Parent & Child Show is an understatement. This bike really is a stunner.

The Endangered Species Limited Edition is available for $299 by contacting [email protected] or visit the Wishbone Bike website to see a list of stockists of the original Wishbone Bike.

Wishbone Design Studio is currently featuring practical things that both adults and children can do to protect the biodiversity and natural world around us. Check out their ideas here.
