Mistral Photography is Nykie Grove-Eades, a portrait photographer from the Auckland.

"I prefer to get out of the studio and go to places where people can relax and be themselves...  I use a mixture of natural light but also manipulate light to capture and tell a story... My photos often belong together and so I offer complete sets of the session on disc as well as an al-a-carte printing menu," says Nykie.

As well as a traditional family portrait (which is a must for the grandparents), Nykie also captures many more candid moments and individual portraits of everyone. The session takes between one and three hours usually including one, two or even three locations!  The session is fun and relaxing and plenty of breaks are allowed for the little ones to restore their energy levels where necessary.

Nykie's style has been described as earthy, honest, artful & fun.
