Moving on...

After spilling a glass of milk (metaphorically)

11 June 2010

Day 5 dawned and I was feeling a little guilty. Our Nanny had made a huge batch of biscuits, and I ate.... them all! Almost! Epic fail. However a new day a new outlook right? I remember years ago when I first ventured into the world of weight watchers (new boyfriend, too much eating) I heard a saying 'If you accidentally spilled half a glass of milk you wouldn't pour the remaining half glass out for the sake of it would you?' and so it is with eating. If you slip (and shove an entire batch of biscuits down your throat) don't throw away the whole day or week accept the slip and move on.

So... moving on...

The day got better - I hopped on the scales (as punishment for the fail) and what do you know, minus 1.5 kgs! Brilliant! And the real bonus today was finding out that crumpets are only 1.5 points. I think I will buy a lotto ticket with lots of 1s and 5s in it. Initial weight loss is common and really it takes a few weeks to make sure it stays off.

I have also been sampling a number of weight watchers food so I can either praise them or warn you to steer clear. This week in the cupboard we have -

Weight Watchers Ginger Kiss - Average. Edible but only just. However if you are feeling like a big fat slab of cake this could be the ticket at only 1.5 points per bar.
Weight Watchers Lemon Delight - Below Average. Honestly I have no idea what has gone wrong here but it is something major. Steer well clear.
Weight Watchers Raspberry Pie - Slightly above average! Well done WW, this actually tasted like food I should not be letting past my lips!

So I am soldiering on, tomorrows challenge is breakfast with my girlfriends in Kingsland, I have already been pondering what may be on the menu and steeling my resolve to be both skinner and happier! Wish me luck!
