Rainbow Bird Feeder

Inspired by a photo I saw on Pinterest and with an abundance of toilet rolls, we set about making these easy to make rainbow bird feeders with our 3 and 2 year olds.

Simply cover the toilet roll in peanut butter, then roll the roll in the bird feed and set aside to dry. You can use any bird feed you can get your hands on, but here we used Exact Rainbow Feed.

Our kids had a great time and managed to get especially messy though we haven't been able to hang them outside yet as it's rained ever since!

This is a great idea and can be used with pine cones too but as you are making them for birds in your garden (instead of pet birds), please use wild bird feeds with no added colour - they don't look as pretty for the children but are better for the birds.
