Made4Kids Natural Skincare

Meet Zid the Zebra

25 July 2012

“Don’t let chemicals strip you of your natural stripes”.

It’s a new motto, a new ‘spokesman’ and a whole new product range joining Made4Baby– Made4Kids!

And the words of Zid the Zebra are very wise...  and while, as my babies have grown past the stage where I should really be calling them babies anymore, I have continued to use ‘baby’ products on them for the very reason Zid speaks of – I don’t want to strip their skin using chemicals which seem to abound in the kids hair and skincare products commonly on the market.

So, the launch of the Made4Kids range from Made4Baby was a ‘woohoo’ moment for me (I was still using the Made4Baby range, and will continue to use a number of the ‘baby’ products).  Testing it out, I have to say, it’s more important in the respect of what it doesn’t do than what it does – it doesn’t react to their skin and it doesn’t leave them dry.

The spray in de-tangler and conditioner is a complete and absolute winner in my mind.  Miss 4 has wild, curly hair, and she wakes up each morning looking like a bird has tried to assemble it’s nest in it...  The result of this is of course (in the past) been a fight with the hairbrush, a spray bottle of water, and a chase around the house each morning.  I wasn’t really expecting the Made4Kids detangling spray to perform miracles, but in our house, that’s exactly what it did!  Miss 4 loves the smell (watermelon!) and we genuinely do find the brush runs much more smoothly through her hair with it in.  Being able to sit and brush her hair with no performance is heaven!

The Made4Kids range is available from the Made4Baby website here, and includes a shampoo, conditioner and hand wash (a true hit with the kids, their very own hand wash!).
