I have one of those sisters. The ones that manage to get the perfect present every time and never go wrong. That it’s safe to assume that anything your kids are given from her will be well received, both my kids and mum alike.

The Hape e-vehicle set was her gift of choice this Christmas for my little boy. Made from bamboo and ecologically friendly, these vehicles are simply and frankly gorgeous. The lines are smooth and clean, perfectly curved, perfectly formed. From my perspective, they make a stunning ‘on display’ toy for my little boys bedroom. From the kids perspective, they seem to love nothing more than grabbing them down from the top of the dresser when I have been trying to keep them out of reach and looking pretty and zooming them all over the place – up the walls, over the furniture, through the air…

The e-plane is my personal favourite. It could well be because of the ‘plane’ noises my little ones make while flying it around the room. The e-offroader and e-truck both have rugged wheels and the flame paint job on the red e-offroader apparently makes it ‘go faster’ (I have no idea where my little girl got this one from!). Toys and blocks are constantly being loaded into the back of the e-truck and dumped out to huge amusement.

An obvious winner in the Christmas present stakes, this set is providing hours of play and definitely passes both the kids and mum test (and quite obviously the aunty test too!). The set is available from Teacher Direct for $89.59 or individually for $37.38 each.
