Babble BooksBooks for babiesJodi Mitchell21 February 2011 I have what are now technically two toddlers (to me, still a baby and a toddler, I’m not sure my youngest will ever be not ‘my baby’!). I can be absolutely sure they know apples, bananas, red, blue, happy, sad… in fact they even know basil and curry. It had never occurred to me that if I didn’t purposefully introduce a word or concept to them, they are unlikely to learn it. So aubergine, wistful, galangal and coral aren’t on the horizon anytime soon. Or weren’t I should say. Thanks to Emma introducing me to her fabulous range of baby books, Babble Books, I get the feeling that my children will be broadening their horizons and vocabularies very soon. The best part about it – Emma’s books and theories have really given me a bit of food for thought, about reaching outside of my everyday, into everyone else’s every day, to help my children grow and learn (and maybe help myself at the same time!) Babble Books are available online from their website. They are $13.99 NZD each or $50 for the set of four. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
