Roadtested: Skip Hop Zoo Tableware

What’s at the bottom of my plate?

Is it a bee?  A dog, a monkey?  Or maybe an owl?  There’s only one way to discover what’s at the bottom of the plate and that’s to eat your greens up quick fast!!

The greens comment is definitely a long shot in this house, but for ensuring that tomato and basil risotto was in little stomach’s quick fast it worked a treat.

Normally I show my little people anything that turns up for them as soon as it arrives.  I’m not sure why, but for some reason the Skip Hop Zoo Tableware from Bubbalooz got hidden away in the cupboard and brought out one night at dinner time.  With the promise that there was something exciting hiding at the bottom of the plate, the risotto was gone in record time, with pauses only to guess at what it was.

The tableware itself is top quality – its durable melamine and completely dishwasher safe (it’s gone through ours every day for weeks now beautifully).  The sets come with a plate divided into two sections (ideal for people like Miss 3 who refuse to have different food types touching each other), a bowl which is perfect for the morning porridge or cereal (or ice cream and jelly on treat nights) and a stripey cup which co-ordinates with the entire collection.  And of course, it’s BPA-free, phthalate-free and PVC-free, so doesn’t have any nasties that might leach into your kids food.

Get them online at Bubbalooz.
