Roadtested: Boon in the BathBob in the Bubbles11 June 2010This week we've been having a splashing good old time with some of the Boon bath toys. The Frog Pod ($100), Bob the Odd Duck ($12.50), Scrubbles ($24) and Water Bugs ($20) have all made themselves quite at home. The Frog Pod is fabulous. It's larger that you would think, and attaches nicely with it's little suction cups. We don't have finished tiles around the bath, so the Frog is hanging out on our shower door. The scoop / toy holder picks the toys up nicely, and it's great having them all drained out instead of sitting around wet growing mildew... And mildew brings us onto our next subject... the toys themselves. No, they don't have mildew - quite the opposite!! Good old Bob is tightly sealed, and so are the Water Bugs, so they don't hold water and bacteria, so thankfully I can safely say there are no hideous lurgies growing in our bath toys! Bob also floats nicely, not dipping, diving or lying around. He bobs around the bath, just as Bob should. The Water Bugs are a bit of a fun game - the idea is to catch them in the net, but of course, everything in the bath gets scooped on up! The Scrubbles are different in the fact that they are squirters, so they have to take in water. The tops screw apart from the bottoms and you can switch things around for a bit of interest. They are also completely dishwasher safe, so if you forget to unscrew them and dreaded lurgies do grow in there, you can wash them easily and get rid of them quickly. The squirters on them are also very cool - no single little fountain here - think more like a miniature shower! And the best thing about them? The kids LOVE them.
