Book of the Week: Where is the Green Sheep?

Can YOU find him?

21 June 2010

We are always on the lookout for books that are short and sweet for a quick bedtime read, but have that little something extra if you want to spend a little longer having cuddles!  This is exactly what Where is the Green Sheep from Mem Fox delivers.

Rhyming melodically throughout, the book is full of comparisons and concepts (such as near and far, thin and wide), and cute little illustrations.  Brightly coloured, each page only has a few words, which makes a quick and easy read (fantastic for dealing with the "just one more!" book plea), yet at the same time has enough depth to it to spend time discussing the concepts and illustrations, and trying to search for that green sheep!

It's also a book that will last, from reading your infant a story at bedtime, through to your five year old learning to read for themselves.

Get it online at Fishpond for $16.99 NZD.
