Roadtested: Cheeky Little Soles
Buttery soft leather...9 July 2010
In my naivety as a new parent only a couple of years ago, I thought that all baby shoes were created equal. That those responsible for their design and manufacture would make sure that they could actually fit, be comfortable, and stay, on little feet. Oh, how wrong I was. Those that claimed 'soft leather' were often as hard and as flexible as a piece of plastic, 'slip on' actually meant spending an hour jamming little feet into shoes that would then cut into and leave their mark around little ankles...
The super soft baby shoe range from Cheeky Little Soles however, are everything they claim to be. The cotton lined, buttery leather shoes are so soft, I dare say they would be more comfortable than any shoe I've ever worn. They have black padded soles to reduce 'skiddage' for early walkers, they slip on amazingly easily, and have a really brilliant elasticized design where you can actually replace the elastic, or slip through a longer piece if you have a particularly chubby bubba!
They can also be hand washed, though I'll admit, I threw mine through the washing machine just to test them out (and yes, they came out as good as new and dried super quickly too!).
The Cheeky Little Soles baby shoes (along with the CLS ballet slippers) are available in New Zealand from chocolate+chilli for $49.95 NZD a pair.
