Canon Creative for a CauseCreative for a cause12 June 2009 Hundreds of New Zealand charities are in desperate need of awareness and financial support. Canon has decided to get behind these charities, with their launch of Creative for a Cause. Based on the belief that a single image can change the world, the campaign aims to inspire New Zealanders through photography with the chance to win their nominated charity $25,000 and to become one of Canon's preferred charities in 2009. You can get involved by simply taking a photo that reflects the causes you are most passionate about and submitting it with a 25 word description of what your photo represents or by voting for your favorite images and the causes they are in support of at the Canon Creative for a Cause website. Some of the images that have already been submitted support wonderful children’s causes such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation (NZ), Heart Children New Zealand and the Neonatal Trust (note, some of these are listed under “Medical and Health” instead of the “Childrens” category).  |
