I have spent far too much of my time this morning playing with the monster maker on the CurlyQ Cuties website.

CurlyQ Cuties was started in 2008 by an American Mumpreneur as an alternative to impersonal plastic toys. Initially making and selling their own designs, since then CurlyQ Cuties have developed a website where you can design your own little plush monster and create a unique toy, made especially for your child.

The monster maker is a lot of fun – go to the website and have a play to see what you can create! You get to choose the body shape, eye shape, mouth shape, belly shape, body color, eye color and belly color. If you’re not sure where to start, hit the random button a few times to see what creations your computer can come up for you.

There’s also a gorgeous collection of Collectible monsters that are pre-made and have unique features not available in the monster maker.

CurlyQ Cuties are priced at $25 USD (plus postage & packaging) for a design your own monster, and the collectibles are individually priced, starting from $25 USD (again, plus postage & packaging).
